Preschool - part-time care
We care for children from the age of 4 at our bilingual preschool. The languages spoken are English and German, as in normal schools. We are also happy to integrate children who have no previous knowledge of these languages.
Depending on the parents’ professional situation and decision, we offer full-day or part-time education and care for children between 4-6 years of age.
Every child receives individual support from us. We take into account the different stages of development and pay special attention to particular aptitudes and talents in our small groups.
We attach great value to a very loving homely atmosphere for learning and play. We would like to offer our students home-from-home during the day.
The early childhood multilingual support is based on an international educational concept known as the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). The IB PYP represents a holistic, humanistic view of mankind. Children are encouraged to ask questions and think conceptually. When they are older, they should be able to perceive the world independently, respectfully and with a thirst for knowledge.
We also set great store by outdoor free play. Regardless of the weather, we go outside with the children several times a day and often spend half a day in the forest or the Rheinfelden city park. Creativity and development of fine and gross motor skills are stimulated by daily singing, crafts, painting and baking.
Preschool - obligatory Kindergarten with us
In case the obligatory preschool is completed at ipso International School, a minimum number of lesson has to be booked. That means that at least five half days in the mornings, 1 full day plus 4 mornings, 2 full-days plus 2 mornings or 3 full days have to be booked.
Preschool - in addition to public Preschool (Kindergarten)
Children who attend the public preschool we offer the opportunity to visit our English Club for Kids on Friday afternoons. They learn the basics of English in a playful way through immersion (language bath).
